Using Microsoft Power BI to demo a public dashboard

I wanted to demonstrate using Microsoft's Power BI dashboard. So I'm hoping this embed code works. D2L/Brightspace did not support the map and that's half the fun of this demo!   Shoot - it appears that Blogger doesn't support it either!

My OL554/NF553 class is pictured below (picture coming soon).  I told them that I wanted to get a KODAK moment.  (gee- that term ages me...sigh).  The reason I want to include it?

Because this group want to keep on learning after they graduate!

Interactive Web page - Hopefully!

I'm trying to upload an interactive web page that has a dashboard look to it.  Unfortunately, the slicers do not work as expected because evidently "This workbook contains external data connections or BI features that are not supported."  I'm going to see if I can figure this out.

Here is a YouTube video demonstrating XML with Excel 2013.  Using it for a class demonstration!
This demonstrates that you can connect video (or Jings) into a blog.

A start of a great career.  Did you see the article, "The Future is Now: XBRL Emerges as Career Niche" in the Journal of Accountancy?

XBRL

Sunday, I teach FL551 -Analysis and Reporting at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. This is a new course in the Financial track of the Masters of Leadership Development, affectionately known as the MLD program. To get prepped for the course, I completed the International XBRL certification course and I'm prepping for the exam.  The tagging concept was never difficult to understand  because I understand HTML and XML; however, I had so many misconceptions about XBRL before I took the training.  I would recommend this training to anyone.  I also want to take the AICPA US GAAP Taxonomy training when it becomes available.
If your company has a story to share about XBRL, please feel free to comment.
